Phase 1 - Study & Report

  • Work with Architects as part of the design team to insure the needs of the client are implemented as part of the facility design, not just retrofitting equipment after the final design has been completed.
  • Propose an approach to security that would drastically increase security and reduce the need for manpower and equipment
  • Develop a conceptual design for security with preliminary cost estimates.
  • Present the concept to the client for validation.
Phase 2 - Preliminary Design
  • Create total project scope of work.
  • Develop design documentation.
  • Present the concept to the client for validation.
Phase 3 - Final Design
  • Develop engineering specifications conforming to CSI format.
  • Develop site plans, floor plans, detail drawings, and one-line diagrams conforming to AIA standards.
  • Submit bid document to the architect for integration with total bid package in new construction, or add general provisions to my documents if the project only involves retrofitting a security system.
Phase 4 - Bidding
  • Assist with the selection of a qualified bidder including the review of submittals and request for substitutions.
  • Attend the pre-bid conference to answer technical questions and prepare an addendum that answers all questions formally.
Phase 5 - Construction
  • Monitor contractor's time schedule
  • Review submittals & shop drawings
  • Provide interpretation of security plans
