Simple renders of Poser models using a HDRI-based light dome.
The older default Egyptian scene from DAZ Studio, imported into PoseRay, and rendered in POV-Ray.
A Mini rendered using a light dome. The car model was subdivided first. The ground is a textured plane and not part of the background. The lights are the same for all images only the camera changes.
This shows PoseRay's preview window with a LightWave model using subdividing patches. The original is shown on the left and after two smooth subdivisions the result is shown on the right. The model can be exported from PoseRay subdivided.
PoseRay can set the materials to simulate cartoon rendering in POV-Ray. Since it is a material property PoseRay allows for mixing of cartoon / realistic rendering in the same scene as shown below right. All the car materials were set to cartoon mode.
PoseRay can handle large models like this LightWave model of the EDF Andromeda from Don Gaiser. This model is available at the LightWave group. The resulting POV-Ray render is using PoseRay's cartoon mode and the background is from the galaxy include file found at the pov-ray include files page.
