2. The sea nymphs, who used to be his ships, tell him the details.

7. Turnus gives the body back and tells them to return it to the

father, King Evander, and remind him how much it cost him to help

Aeneas.

8. Turnus takes the sword belt from the dead body of Pallas - a mistake

as you will see in Book XII.

9. ruthless pitiless

10. Juno makes a phantom Aeneas who taunts Turnus. Turnus chases the phantom

Aeneas onto a ship, which Juno launches and he goes out to sea and safety. The

phantom disappears. Turnus is angry and wants to get off the ship and swim back, but

he can't. Juno won't let him.

11. Lausus, his son

12. Lausus

13. Wounded Mezentius returns to the battle after hearing that Aeneas

has killed his son Lausus. He is riding a horse, which Aeneas kills,

and the horse falls on Mezentius pinning him to the ground. Aeneas

just walks up and finishes him off.
