                   ¡Saludos del departamento de español!

Well, here we are looking at summer vacation just around the corner!  The students have worked very hard all year in preparation for their Spanish final exams.  The exams were designed to assess achievement Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening Comprehension.

All Level I students and some 8th-grade students will be taking the Spanish proficiency exam on Monday, June 22, 2009, at 8:00 AM.  The Level III (Regents) students must sit for the Spanish Comprehensive exam on Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at 8:00 AM.  The Level II students will also have a final exam, but it is given during the last week of classes during their Spanish class.

Although many of us may be on vacation at various times during the summer, please do not hesitate to continue to contact us through the school’s e-mail (Sroberts@buffaloschools.org, Akwaiters@buffaloschools.org, Nmonge@buffaloschools.org).  We will monitor our e-mails throughout the summer vacation.

We hope everyone has a very enjoyable and safe summer vacation.  Remember, practice speaking Spanish whenever you can.  It’s fun, and you will be surprised how much you can really say and understand if you start to use it more often.
