Our Choir numbers 12-18, with a good mix of parts. We have a Rodgers electronic organ, 700 Series, and two
pianos.
Choir "warm up", Worship and weekly rehearsals are all accomplished on Sunday. "Warm up" and rehearsal:
8:30 AM - 9:15 AM; Worship 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM; coffee hour/snack 10:30 AM - 10:50 AM; Full Rehearsal 10:50
AM - 12:00 Noon. The first Sunday of the month is Communion, therefore no rehearsal.
We are looking for someone who is energetic and flexible. Pay is commensurate with experience.

The Charlotte Congregational Church, UCC, seeks a Music Director who preferably is also an organist.
Working closely with our Pastor, candidates must be able to select and direct music for a small but
talented adult choir, a variety of instrumentalists, and to work with the director of the Junior
(young people's) choir. Prefer that candidates be well grounded in playing/directing music of the
classic masters, as well as contemporary forms. Position is for full year, approximately 1/4 - 1/3 time.

General Responsibilities:
The church organist plays the organ and/or keyboard at all regular church services and special services,
unless other arrangements are mutually agreed upon. The church organist also ensures that the organ is used
correctly and is properly maintained.
Specific Responsibilities:
The church organist: selects preludes, offertories and postludes that contribute to the worship experience
and are appropriate to the particular service and lessons of the day; allots sufficient preparation time
to be able to play the music for services; exerts a positive influence on the congregation during each
service; knows and understands Lutheran traditions and liturgy; is a service leader; assists in the
selection of music; reflects the best standards within the musical heritage of the church.
Position Requirements:
Experience and training in playing an organ/keyboard. A Lutheran or is willing to learn the Lutheran
traditions and liturgy.
Personal Requirements:
Knowledgeable about church music, a person who pays attention to detail, plays organ/keyboard, is a team
player with others in congregation, flexible, good with human relations.
Accountability
The church organist is responsible to Pastor Nancy Wright with oversight from the Worship and Music
Committee.

The North Pomfret Congregational Church, United Church of Christ (VT) seeks a Church Musician for Sunday
Morning Services, one monthly weeknight service and a few other occasions (Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday,
Maundy Thursday). We do not have a choir, but do have several people who will occasionally do sing special
music and need accompaniment. We want someone who is creative and experienced with playing Keyboard
Instruments. We currently have an A David Moore portative pipe organ with one manual and two ranks, a good
upright piano and an aging electronic organ. While certainly not a requirement, some Guitar experience

Hedding United Methodist Church seeks a organist/accompanist commencing in February 2008. We have an
excellent restored tracker organ and baby grand piano for worship, a choir practice room with upright piano.
The organist/accompanist would work with a trained choir director and choir of 10-15. Organist will be
responsible for weekly Sunday worship service, [choir accompaniment, and 1/2 hour rehearsal Sunday morning
along with Thursday evening choir rehearsal from late August through June], plus funerals and weddings
depending on the organist's availability. It is preferable that the organist/accompanist participate in
worship planning and music selection on a seasonal meeting basis. Paid "off Sundays" provided. The details
