You will find a
lot of information on our Files
Page
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Feline_VAS_Support/files/
One folder
contains Dr. Hahn's newsletters - Tumor
Tidbits. One issue’s topic is VAS - the file's name is 2000_07_july.txt.
There
are many other Tumor Tidbits to read, most deal with cancer in pets.
We have
a list of oncologists’
websites - the file is called "Oncologists' websites.txt"
(we aren’t recommending particular oncologists, only providing a list).
You can do a search for specialists near you (oncologists, internists,
etc) on the American
College of Veterinary Internal Medicine site. You can search for
an oncologist in your location on the The
Perseus Foundation's website. Search for Alternative Medicine Practioners
at the American
Holistic Veterinary Medical Association or AltVetMed
website.
A folder
with Vaccine
manufacturer's reimbursement policies is located on our files page.
A good number of our members have successfully pursued reimburements.
Some manufacturers will pay more than others.
It is
important that your cat's vaccination reaction (or any adverse drug
reaction) is reported. Read through the files in the "Reporting
Adverse Reactions" folder on the files page.
Several
of our members have included their cat's history in the "Our
Cats" folder. You are more than welcome to include your cat's story.
We also have a folder called VAS
Amputees with files about the cats who have lost their leg to VAS.
There
are many other articles
on VAS, educational
flyers that you can distribute, information on diet
and nutrition, etc located on the files page.
If you are contemplating
an amputation surgery
for your cat, you will find that our
"Guide
for Amputee Caregivers" has a lot of helpful information from owners
who have experienced this surgery with their cats. http://mysite.verizon.net/shortionline/tripod/tripod.html
If you just
found out that your cat has been diagnosed with cancer, you should read
Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialist's "Rules
of Road for Managing the cancer patient".
If you like, you
can add your "information" to our members
database. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Feline_VAS_Support/database
You can add photos
of your cat (and
yourself, if you would like)
to our photo
album. http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Feline_VAS_Support/lst
We also
have many photo albums with myphotoalbum.com
Please read
"About
the Photo's Section" on the group's file's page. You will find
the User Name and Password for the ImageStation albums in these directions.
We have a lot of
informative websites on our Links
page:

Please remember
to add your vote to our Polls:
