CounterWeight System
The machine has a 3/4" thick, 3 foot long steel bar that is pushed through a hole at the tip of the arm. On to this
bar, rings of the type shown above are attached. In total 150 lbs were put on as counterweight, although the arm should be
able to hold more. We were simply limited by what Walmart had in stock. In addition two steel plates lie beneath the bar,
screwed into the wooden arm to provide additional support to the bar, and to prevent cracking down the middle of the arm.
