Enjoy the quiet surroundings of the historic Singapore cottage, located two short blocks from beautiful downtown Saugatuck. With accommodations for four, the cottage features the conveniences of home, in a charming cottage atmosphere.
An award winning landscape offers a large yard with majestic shade trees. A sundeck provides ample opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, while relaxing to the soothing sounds of the pond.
Dating from the late 1800's, the original structure is believed to have been an ice storage house from Singapore, Michigan. Singapore was located on the Kalamazoo River near the present day Oval Beach. The shifting sands along the shore were a constant threat to the village and many structures were relocated to Saugatuck.

With wall to wall windows on three sides, the SUNROOM features a full-sized futon, breakfast table and wicker bench. It is a wonderful place to nap, read a good book or enjoy a gentle breeze from the open windows or ceiling fan (central air conditioning also included). |
With four comfortable chairs, the ENTERTAINMENT ROOM features cable television, VCR, CD stereo, and phone/answering machine. The room layout is perfect for socializing with friends or family. |
A fully furnished KITCHEN awaits your cooking adventures. Complete with service for four, the kitchen features a gas oven/range, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and large refrigerator. For your outdoor cooking, a Weber grill is available. |

The modern bathroom maintains the cottage charm with beaded board wainscoting and ceiling. Also, the tiled floor and shower offer whimsical tile insets. A queen-sized bed provides a restful nights sleep or an afternoon nap. The full-sized futon provides the additional sleeping accommodations. |

*Weekly and weekend rental periods require 6% State of Michigan use tax and 2% CVB charge.
**Limited weekend availability at $300 for summer and $250 for autumn/winter.
Check-in: After 4:00 PM on Fridays
Check-out: Before 10:00 AM on Fridays (before 12:00 Noon on Sunday's for weekend rentals)
Confirmation:
$200 Security Deposit and $200 Down Payment required within 5 days of scheduling. Security Deposit is refundable within 7 days of departure pending satisfactory inspection of premises. Down payment is refundable if the cottage can be rebooked. Balance due upon check-in. Bank money orders or cashiers check required.
Guests:
The maximum number of quests is 4 unless prior authorization has been granted.
What to bring:
Food and Drinks.
(Bath towels and bed linens are provided for your stay)
No Smoking / No Pets:
If evidence of smoking or pets is discovered on premises during our stay, eviction will be immediate with no refund. This will also result in forfeiture of security deposit.
Term Rates (lease agreement required):
12 month: $800 per month excluding long distance telephone, trash and snow removal.
September through May: $550 per month excluding long distance telephone, trash and snow removal.
