Is America the land of the free?

I read in the local paper that one out of 100 American adults is in prison. One in 36 Hispanics are in prison and 1 in 15 black adults are also. Here is the real kicker one in nine black men between the ages of 20 and 34 are incarcerated also. The statistics are astounding, and it gets a lot worse, think about the different times that judges and governors (Huckaby for one) and presidents (Clinton) released groups of prisoners. If you add in the ones that haven't been apprehended yet and still running around free, the thought comes to me. What has happened to America?

Now, we can blame it all on racism, racial profiling or that the judges are too strict. Also 90% of the prisoners would say they are not guilty. I would dare say that it is because of the choices that the American people have made over the years. We have just set back and let the politically correct leaders take over. In our haste not to offend anyone, we have taken GOD out of our lives. Over the years we have let Judges and the media tell us what is right. I saw a revival of spiritual zeal right after the 9/11 terrorists attacks when the American people thought that the Muslims were out to destroy us. Now, 50% or more of the American people don't think that there is a threat at all. There is also a group of individuals that have so much hatred in their heart that they even believe it was all a hoax, set up by the government and President Bush. I have said all this to bring us to this point. We have to get back to GOD! As GOD has been taken out of our lives, the American people have lost their fear and a reverence toward GOD.

After King Solomon built the LORDS house and the LORD accepted it, the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
(2 Chronicles 7:14)

We are all a prisoner of this society and the only way that we will be free is through Jesus Christ and His love for us. Is America the land of the free or are we prisoners to a society that gives us no hope. I know that God will change America if we humble ourselves and pray, I also know that if we let God work in our lives, then America will truly be the land of the free.
Pro 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge:
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
