Top Spruce.

Back: Two piece Indian Rosewood.
Sides: Indian Rosewood.

Neck Mahogany, unbound

Fret Board Ebony, usually of very high quality.

Purfling Block Pattern. Alternating brown and white rectangles. (Any one know what this style is called?)

Lower Bout Trim (Strap plug hole area) Black plastic wedge with very thin black/white edge trim.

Binding White on body, none on neck.

Bridge Very high quality black ebony with no decorations, bolts, or other trim

Neck Block Construction Original footed design with no cross bar. Block portion supporting top has two "feet" pointing towards the sound hole.

The neck block appears to be one piece. At least. I have not seen any Mossman guitars with laminated or built up neck blocks. Construction is very high quality and carefully finished. Bolt cover has heat stamped name plate stating "Flint Hills". This plate covers the neck bolt(s). Usually, if the guitar has had a neck reset, this thin mahogany plate is destroyed during removal.
The neck uses simple bolt on construction. As far as I am aware, the neck and body are finished separately.

Pickguard Same as on all Mossmans. No variations here.

HeadStock Logo Gold decal "S L Mossman"

Tuning Gears Dull finished, Grover Rotomatics, American made, with slotted screws. In order, each machine has the following parts: Knob, slotted screw, split washer (on outside of knob), chrome washer, black compression (or bent) washer, worm gear, casting, driven gear with string attachment post, housing.
