Back and Sides Two piece

Depends on year. Pre-1975 is often Indian, may be Brazilian (Dalbergia Nigra), or Honduras Rosewood or any of several other rosewood look alikes.

Neck Mahogany

Fret Board Ebony, usually of very high quality.

Purfling Herring bone. black and white, similiar Martin style.

Lower Bout Trim (Strap plug hole area) Black plastic wedge with very thin black/white edge trim.

Binding White plastic

Bridge Very high quality black ebony with no decorations, bolts, or other trim

Neck Block Construction Original "air suspension" design with no cross bar. Block portiong supporting top has two "feet" pointing towards the sound hole.

One piece main neck and top block has guitar model name plate stating "Great Plains". This plate covers the neck bolt(s).

Pickguard Same as on all Mossmans. No variations here.

Tuning Gears Grover, american made, with slotted screws. In order, each machine has the following parts: Knob, slotted screw, split washer (on outside of knob), chrome washer, black compression (or bent) washer, worm gear, casting, driven gear, housing.
