Stress is defined as “a physical, chemical or emotional
factor that causes bodily or mental tension and may be a factor in disease causation” (Webster’s Dictionary).
In our daily life we respond to the requests and demands
put forward by our children and parents, our spouses and friends, our colleges and supervisors. We balance family and career,
we meet the needs of others. However at times, this multitude of responsibilities can turn into stress, into chaos that leaves
us overwhelmed and unbalanced.
Through mindfulness we can achieve a state of calmness
and inner peace. Mindfulness allows us to feel stable and content, to be in harmony with our environment. Mindfully centered
we find the beauty and the strength of ourselves. We have the power to embrace the demands of our lives – mindfully
centered.
