The parents of my maternal Grandfather were Rose Quaglio and Clemente Sammarco.
He first arrived July 27, 1905
on the Sicilian Prince. He departed from Naples, Campania. He was naturalized in 1915. On June 29, 1913 he married Rosa Falconi
at St. Michael's Church in Brooklyn. He was living at 64 Main Street and was a candy maker. His children were Clement, Joseph,
Peter, Raymond, Lucia and one living son. In 1920 he was living at 152 Prospect Street and was a laborer. In 1936 he was living
at 1132 40th Street and was working for Charles Strouch at 105 West Avenue. When he passed away he was married and was a fruit
dealer. He was living at 1136 40th Street in Brooklyn. He was a banana salesman at the 13th Avenue Retail market. He is also
known as Joseph, Jonzo, and Guiseppe

When the doctor called my Grandfather to tell him that he had a baby girl (Lucia, my Mother), my Grandfather
did not believe him. His reply was "You have to be kidding my wife does not have girls." (Grandma had had five boys before
this).
