Cabot Lane Cottages We have two one-bedroom cottages located beside our home in the Cliff Area, one of Nantucket's nicest summer residential areas. The walking distance from the Steamship Authority Ferry is about fifteen minutes, the Hy-Line Ferry-twenty minutes, and most shopping areas - fifteen minutes. At the end of Cabot Lane, the Nantucket Sound can be viewed in the distance with the ferries passing by every hour or so. Jetties Beach and facilities are a twelve-minute walk from the cottages. A smaller and more secluded public beach is a short seven-minute walk. Bicycle rentals are plentiful. Taxis are available also. A shuttle bus stop is available around the corner. The cottages - Sea Breeze and Becalm'd each have their own private yard and parking area separate from our house. Both cottages are supplied with a small grill, picnic table, lawn chairs and cooking facilities which include an electric range and oven, microwave oven, and refrigerator. Local phone service provided. Sheets, towels, dishes, and cooking utensils are supplied. Sea Breeze (508 square feet) is the larger of the two cottages. It is suitable for two. There is one bedroom with a queen-size bed, living room, bathroom with a stall shower, kitchen, and separate dining area. Becalm'd (463 square feet) is smaller. The main room is divided into a living-room area on one side and a kitchen on the other. Through this room is a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a separate closet. A bathroom with a tub and shower is off the bedroom. This cottage is suitable for two. Reservations may be made by a phone call with half the rental amount due immediately. No pets are allowed. The cottages are nonsmoking. Rental weeks are usually Saturday to Saturday from June to October. Spring and late fall rentals are sometimes available. Check-in time is 2 PM on Saturday. Check-out time is 9 AM on Saturday. The cottages are small, pleasant, functional, well cared for and in an attractive neighborhood. Cabot Lane Cottages
