OUTREACH

In response to the Gospel message through Social Action, the Parish reaches out to those in need in our community and beyond. Social Action activities include:
  • Food Pantry volunteers collect donated food and personal care items and prepare for distribution to the needy.
  • Our Father's House volunteers prepare and serve supper on the last Wednesday of each month to residents at OFH.
  • In the Interfaith Hospitality ministry, volunteers act as hosts to families who experience temporary homelessness.
  • With the Christmas Giving Tree, parishioners provide clothing and toys to needy children in our community and beyond.
  • By Visiting Shut-ins, parishioners bring them much needed companionship. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion can bring Holy Communion to them.

FOSTERING COMMUNITY

  • The Hospitality Committee organizes fellowship and refreshments after Mass once a month.
  • The Women’s Guild unites the women of the parish in their efforts to build a sense of Christian community.
  • The Social Activities Committee plans fun-filled activities for the parish.

Each of us has a unique set of talents that has been given to us by God for us to contribute to our own happiness and the common good. If we hoard these talents, we will not only deny our own happiness, but the common good. Let us give generously of our gifts of time and talent.
