Candidates will be 8th Grade or high school students who have
completed eight years of Religious Education in a parish religious education program or in a Catholic school.

Candidates will attend eight weeks of catechesis. Sundays – January 24, 2010 through March 21, 2010 (9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.) in the
Church Hall.

| 3.
|
Candidates
will attend Mass weekly and will sign-in a Mass Attendance Binder beginning the first weekend in October and continuing through the end of March.
If Candidates attend another Church for Mass, a bulletin signed by
the Presider will be required.

Candidates
must attend an Enrollment Mass on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the 10:30 a.m.
Mass.
|
| 5.
|
Candidates must participate in three (3) Youth Ministry Activities between October and March. These activities will be published in the parish bulletin and will be posted on our website.
|
| 6.
|
Candidates must choose one Sponsor who is willing to walk with you on your faith journey. Canon Law requires that a sponsor must be at least 16 years of age, be a Catholic who has been Confirmed and receives the Eucharist and lives a life of faith. A Sponsor cannot be the Candidate’s mother or father.

| 7.

Candidate and Parent/Guardian must sign the Parent/Student Covenant form verifying your commitment to the program. Due with your packet on January 24, 2010.
|
| 8.
|
Candidates must prepare a one-page report on the Saint that they have chosen to take as their Confirmation Name. Due with completed packet January 24, 2010.
|
| 9.
|
Candidates must complete 12 hours of volunteer service (combination of community, family and parish). Sheets due with completed packet on January 24, 2010.
|
| 10.
|
Candidates must attend an overnight retreat at the Msgr. O’Dwyer Retreat House the weekend of March 12/13, 2010.
|
| 11.
|
Candidates will meet with a member of the Pastoral Staff to determine their readiness. Meetings will be scheduled on Thursday, March 25, 2010. A sign-up sheet will be provided for Candidates.

| 12.
|
Candidates must participate in the Archdiocese of Baltimore Youth and Young Adult Pilgrimage to be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010. More information will be provided.
|
| 13.
|
Candidates must write a letter to Bishop Denis J. Madden. Details about the letter are in your packet.
|
| 14.
|
Candidates and Sponsor must attend the Confirmation Rehearsal at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Church on Friday, April 9, 2010.
|
| 15.
|
Confirmation Mass is Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Mass with Bishop Denis J. Madden. Candidates and their Sponsor are to meet in the Church Hall no later than 9:45 a.m. Bishop Madden has requested to greet each Candidate and Sponsor, individually.
