Dear Parishioners and Visitors,

      I thank you for visiting our parish website. Our parish is located in Baltimore City. Our parish boundaries lie in both Baltimore City and Anne Arundel County. Our parishioners not only reside within the boundaries, but many come from places far and near to attend St. Athanasius. St. Athanasius parish was begun in 1891 and was the "Mother Church" of the Curtis Bay and Brooklyn area. This parish family is a growing family and serves at this time 635 families, a number that has doubled in recent years. Many who come to worship at St Athanasius remark how blessed we are to be such a warm and welcoming community. Our parish family strives to be an inclusive community and welcomes all who enter our doors, no matter what their age, race, sexual orientation or status in life. We strive to live our Baptismal calling and truly be the Body of Christ for others.

      Our parish is an active parish and takes pride in each and every one of our activities whether spiritual or social. If you are visiting at one of our liturgies or parish functions, please make yourself known to me at its conclusion. You are cordially invited to become a part of our community and share your gifts and talents with us.
