Carson Cooman will perform Variations on "Dank sei dir, Herr" for organ manuals (ECS #6922) on July 6, 2008 in The Memorial Church, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.


Anim Zemiros (A Hymn of Glory), an original setting of a traditional Hebrew Shabbat prayer for SATB chorus (divisi) unaccompanied composed in 1985, has won a third place prize in the 2008 Choral Composition Competition sponsored by The New York Virtuoso Singers, Harold Rosenbaum, Conductor. In addition to a cash award to be presented to the composer, Anim Zemiros will receive its world premiere performance on January 11, 2009, in New York City.


October, 2007: both versions of The Scattered Leaves, unison chorus or solo voice and piano (ECS #6841) and SATB & piano (ECS #6842) were new issued and are now available in print.


April, 2007: Variations on "Dank sei dir, Herr," organ manuals or piano solo (ECS #6922) was new issued and is now available in print.


The DeKalb Choral Guild of Decatur, Georgia, performed A Prayer for the World (SATB) in "A Concert for the Earth" on March 24, 2007 in Liane Levetan Park at Brook Run, Dunwoody, Georgia.


February, 2007: both versions of An Easy Decision, SATB & piano (ECS #6747) and unison treble chorus or mezzo-soprano solo & piano (ECS #6748), were new issued and are now available in print.


October, 2006: All versions of She Gave Him All Her Heart, TTBB & piano (ECS #6624), SATB & piano (ECS #6625), tenor & piano (ECS #6626) and baritone & piano (ECS #6627), were new issued and are now available in print.


Haneirot halalu (T solo, SATB) is featured in Volume 1 of Teaching Music through Performance in Choir published by GIA. One can also order a set of audio CDs to accompany the book. The performance is by the University of North Texas Chamber Choir, Jerry McCoy, conductor. When it is released, Volume 2 in this series will feature Psalm 117 (TTBB).


Selections From The Song Of Songs (male voice & wind ensemble) was performed by the Reading Civic Concert Band, Lucinda Ellert, conductor. This was the full world premiere performance. It took place on March 11, 2006, in the Parker Middle School Auditorium, Reading, Massachusetts. Hal Katzman was the tenor soloist.


Psalm 117 (TTBB) was included in the 2005-2006 repertoire of the University of Michigan Men's Glee Club of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Paul Rardin, Director.
