Past & Present Games
I've been playing roleplaying games (RPGs) since the 6th grade
(that's
around 1981, for those of you keeping score at home). In the past
couple
decades, I've played a lot of different games, and I still game
with
some of the same people I knew back in high school. Here's what we're
currently
playing (at least in terms of ongoing games):
- Aberrant: Teen Tomorrow
(gamemastered by Andy Frades): They're Project Utopia's teen
poster-kids for a "nova tomorrow," but do they really have what it
takes to cut it in a world of gods and monsters? I play Ethan "Circuit
Boi" Keller.
- Dungeons & Dragons — Eberron (gamemastered
by me): A group of adventurers make their way through the events of the
first series of adventures for the Eberron
campaign setting.
- Mutants & Masterminds
(gamemastered by Sean Johnson): A new Freedom League has banded
together to protect Freedom City and the world from the forces of evil!
I play Earth's new Star Knight, Alex Raymond.
- Star Wars (gamemastered by
Michael Wheeler): It is a time of galactic upheaval... The campaign
spans the time between Episodes 2 & 3 and the post-Rebellion era.
The important thing is I get to play an Ewok force adept! Yub-yub!
Our former campaigns (those with a web presence, anyway) include:
- Aberrant:
Marvels, Portents, Monsters (gamemastered by me): The year is
2008 and everything has changed. Novas, people with the power of gods,
walk the earth (currently on indefinie hiatus).
- Earthdawn: The Hand of Daralon
(gamemastered by me): A campaign based around a group of adepts
who emerge from their kaer and explore the land of Barsaive.
- Exalted (gamemastered by me):
A circle of Solar Exalted travels upriver in the Scavenger Lands,
struggling against Abyssal agents of the Deathlord Walker in Shadow,
guided toward an unknown destiny.
- Marvel
Super Heroes: Guardians (gamemastered by me): A super hero game
set in the Marvel Universe, about 10 months behind current "comic book
time," following the events of the "Onslaught" storyline.
- 7th
Sea: Wanderers (gamemastered by Andy Frades): Pirates,
swordsmen, and sorcery in an alternate fantasy world. We're using
elements of the 7th Sea setting, but a completely different rules
system. I play Phillipe DuVerre, a Montaigne porte sorcerer.
- Traveller:
Rude Awakenings (gamemastered by Andy Frades): The adventures
of a group of 21st century Terran explorers sent thousands of years
into the future.
