Here are some recent and not so recent happenings

- A new play "The Weight" to be performed at the 15th Annual New York City Fifteen Minute Play Festival, American Globe Theatre, May 4-11.

- My play "Normal Is A Country" named a finalist in the Actors Theatre of Louisville National Ten Minute Play Contest. The play was also named a winner in the the Longwood University Ten Minute Play Festival which includes publication by One Act Play Depot.

- My story "War of Choice" published in the latest issue of Gargoyle, my play "Tammy" published in Conclave: A Journal of Character and my play "Italy" forthcoming in the next issue of Poems & Plays.

- Two new plays for young audiences "The Emperor's New Clothes" and "Kidnapped: Persephone in the Underworld" just published by Brooklyn Publishing (www.brookpub.com)

-Four productions this past summer: "necessary poison" at Journeyman Theatre Company, Washington DC; "Five More Minutes" Algonquin Theatre Company, NYC; and "Normal Is A Country" at both Rochester Repertory, Rochester, MN and The Playwright's Roundtable, Longwood, FL.

- Over the past eight years, I have won five Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Grant Awards.

- More than thirty different plays of mine have been produced (many numerous times) in various theaters around the country including New Jersey Repertory, Cleveland Public, Baltimore Theatre Project and Revolution Theatre in Chicago.

- My stories and plays have been published in such national literary journals and anthologies as The Pushcart Prize, TriQuarterly, The Art of the One Act, Painted Pride Quarterly, Alaska Quarterly Review, Post Road, The Eclectica Magazine, Cafe Irreal, Scene 4, Third Coast and Night Train.
