Just for Kids
Hey kids! These are your pages! We built them just for you, as a way of helping you learn more about your church and your faith. We hope you will enjoy them, and come back often. During certain seasons of the church year, we hope to offer other fun stuff here, including craft projects, music, and trivia questions. If you have suggestions for other fun things we can add, ask your parents if you can email your suggestions to us. We're always looking for ways to make this page even more fun! The coloring pages on this site were created by our former rector, Jay Sidebotham, and are used here with his permission. The virtual storybook, Once There Was a Church, was created by Jay Sidebotham and Susan Elliot (with thanks to Shel Silverstein, upon whose book The Giving Tree the story is based), and is also used here with permission. Remember kids...it's always very important to ask permission to use other people's things!

We have many Coloring Pages -

Do you like to color? We do! You can print out these pages to color with crayons or markers, or you can download them and then open them in a paint program to color on the computer (ask your parents for help with this).

NOAH'S ARK "Who built the ark? Noah! Noah! Who built the ark? Brother Noah built the ark." Do you know the story of Noah's Ark? Read (or ask your parents to read) Noah's story in Genesis 6-9. Then print out this picture and color it to help you remember the story.

ROWBOAT Sometimes the world can seem very big and lonely, especially when you're a child. Did you know that you're never alone...that God is with you and loves you all the time? Print out this picture, color it, and hang it in a special place...maybe your bedroom...to help you remember that God is always there to help you.

JESUS AND CHILDREN Did you know that children have a very important place in God's kingdom? Jesus said that anyone who welcomes a child welcomes Jesus! He even told grown-ups that they must become like little children. Read about Jesus and the children in Matthew 18:5-6 and Matthew 19:13. Can you think of other places in the Bible where children are mentioned? (Hint...try the Old Testament book of Isaiah). Print out this picture to remind yourself that you are very special to Jesus.

THE CAMEL AND THE NEEDLE Jesus could say some pretty funny things sometimes. Once he commented that it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God! His disciples were surprised, and asked him who, then, could be saved? Jesus said "for God all things are possible." Read the story behind this funny conversation in Mark 10:17-27. Print out and color this picture to remind yourself that God can do anything...even things that seem impossible!

ST. LUKE St. Luke, our patron, wrote two books in the Bible...the Gospel of Luke and the book of Acts. Luke accompanied St. Paul on many of his travels. He was a Greek Jew, and wrote in Greek. He was also a doctor and an artist. Read Luke's Gospel and the book of Acts.
