- Altar Guild: The Altar Guild is a large group of
parishioners who serve on rotating teams to prepare the altar for
celebrations of the Eucharist; among other things, work includes the
changing of seasonal hangings, maintaining supplies used in worship,
cleaning up after the service.
- Acolytes: The Acolytes provide
majesty and dignity in their leadership role in our worship by carrying
the cross and torches, and by serving at the preparation of the altar
for Eucharist.
- Lectors and Chalice Bearers: Lectors read the
lessons from the Bible and lead the Prayers of the People during our
services of worship. The Chalice Bearers serve the cup of wine during
communion. If you would like to serve in either of these roles, please
speak with one of the clergy.
- Healing Ministry: The Healing Ministry team is a
group of parishioners who faithfully offer prayers for health in body,
mind, and spirit in the small side chapel behind the pulpit during the
distribution of communion. If you are in need of healing prayer or
would like to know about joining the team, please contact the Church..
- Vergers: At the 10 o’clock service on Sunday and on
special occasions, Vergers assist the clergy with all of the details of
pre-service preparations. As Lectors, Chalice Bearers, Acolytes, and
Healing Ministers arrive they check in with the Vergers who let the
clergy know when everyone is in place.
- Choir: Our choir director continues to share her
vast musical experience and gifts with us as our Organist/Choir Master.
The Choir sings during the school year and typically rehearses before
and after the 10 o’clock service. New members, including teenagers, are
always welcome.
- Servers’ Vestments: The vestments worn by our
acolytes and chalice bearers are maintained ensure that they are clean,
attractive, and ready for use in worship. If you would like to help,
please contact the Church.
- Chapel Keeper: The small side chapel has votive
candles that can be lit during private prayers on Sunday or during the
week. The candle holders are kept cleaned out and refilled with new
candles for those who desire a place to offer personal prayer.
- Pastoral Care Committee: The members of our Pastoral
Care Committee, working with our clergy, offer regular support and
friendship to parishioners who are homebound, in failing health and
living through times of great transition. If you would like to know
more or if you are in need of care, please contact the Church.
