Reverend W. David Schorr

Biography

 
 
 


    I was born in McKeesport Hospital, November 10th 1947, the son of Walter C. and Florence (Galata) Schorr.  Our family lived in

Duquesne for one year and moved to Worton Blvd., West  Mifflin  (across from the Duquesne Village Shopping Center) for the next five

years.  We moved back to Duquesne and lived at 1020 Kennedy Ave. up until 2007 after the death of my parents.  My 2 sisters and

brother live in White Oak and my other brother lives in Colonial Manor.  I went for 8 years to St. Joseph School, Duquesne, to High

School at the Bishop's Latin School, Pittsburgh (Graduated in 1965) and to St. Paul Seminary (attending Duquesne University) in

Crafton.

    After graduation From Duquesne University in 1969 I went on to St. Francis Seminary, Loretto, Pa., and received my Masters Degree.

I was ordained on May 5th, 1973.  


My Priestly assignments were:

1973-1978 - Nativity, North Side, Pittsburgh

1978-1980 - St. Francis Xavier, North Side

1980-1984 - Holy Innocents, Sheridan

1984-1989 - St. Helen's Church - Roosevelt, Utah

1989-2008 - Most Holy Name of Jesus, Troy Hill
