Studio Music offers private music lessons in custom built, sound resistant, lesson studios
at our Damascus Studio Music Store. All lessons are private, one on one, with the teacher of your choice. Lessons
are thirty minutes, at the same time & day, once per week. Students ages range from as
young as 5 and up. Age is not as important than the maturity and willingness of the student. The Music Instruction
does include reading and theory on just about any instrument and any style. We have a large staff of talented music instructors

Amanda McCurry
Piano, Oboe, Clarinet, Recorder,
Saxophone
Playing Clarinet, Oboe, English Horn, Recorder, Piano, Saxophone, and Bassoon 22 Years,
Performing for 13 and teaching for 11. B.S. from Virginia Tech. Specializing in Oboe, Clarinet and Recorder. Participated
in various music ensembles from symphony orchestra to pit orchestra. Currently a member of the Montgomery Village Community
Band and the Browningsville Cornet Band. Amanda is also a music Theory/Composition enthusiast. All ages and all levels of
woodwinds, beginning and intermediate piano. $20 per lesson

Evan Stephens
Electric and Acoustic Guitar
Playing Electric and Acousic Guitar for 14 years, performing for 9 and teaching for 7.
B.A. from University of Maryland, attending Masters courses including Jazz and Classical Guitar Studies. Studied with Douglass
Wandell and William Feasley. Evan can teach any music style fluently, from rock and jazz to classical and opera. All music
styles and ages; beginner and up. $20 per lesson

A senior at Linganore High School, Colin is an experienced guitar player. He
plays on the worship team at his church, and looks forward to sharing the joy of music with younger students. $16 per lesson

Jackie Miller
Flute and Piccolo
Playing flute and piccolo for 37 years, performing for 36 and teaching for 29. B.S. in
Music Education at Frostburg State University. Master level studies under Julius Baker of the New York Philharmonic and currently
studying under Vanita Jones. Indtrumental Music teacher for Local County Public Schools for 4 years. Current professional
performances include; Montgomery College Symphony Orchestra, "Silver Winds" Flute Quartet, "The Musical Offering" Flute Ensemble,
Victorian Lyric Opera Company, Laropa Woodwind Quintet, Montrose Chamber Ensemble, and The Trinity Orchestra. Jackie
also enjoys freelance performing with many local groups. Member, Musicians Union DC, Washington Flute Society, and National
Flute Association. All ages, all music, beginner to professional skill level. $24 per lesson

Paul is a local musician who can be seen at open mic nights and band events throughout the
county. He is very experienced, and looks forward to sharing his love of percussion with students of all ages and experience
levels.

Playing cello for over 24 years; violin, and viola for more than 10 years; performing
for more than 20 and teaching 13. Attended College of St. Scholastica. Studied Music and Bilingual Education K-12. Very

John Johnson
Electric and Acoustic Guitar and Bass
Playing electric guitar, bass, and acoustic guitar for 28 years, performing for 30 and
teaching for 21. Majored in Music at Montgomery College. Specializing in school aged students that want to have fun while
learning. John has mergerd computer aids into some of his lessons and has developed his own style of teaching that every student
leaves smiling. Can teach all music styles but has a passion for rock and contemperary jazz. John also records his own original
computer generated and synthesized songs in his home recording studio. All ages over 8, all music styles and all skill levels.
$20 per lesson

Clara Werner
Brass, Flute, Piano
A 2004 graduate of McDaniel College, Clara is a certified music teacher for the Maryland school system. She
has experience in classroom, small group, and individual lesson settings, and looks forward to working with students of all
ages.
$22 per lesson, Wednesday lessons
