    Came to Philadelphia on the Ship "John and William".. .. arrived 10/17/1732 .. Port : Philadelphia, PA and took the Oath of Allegiance to William Penn's Province, and settled in Bedmister Township, Bucks County, PA where they developed a 281 acre plantation of 2 tracts of land surveyed for them on 02/15/1743, and became public-spirited citizens.. They were among the Organizers of Tohickon Union Church.

    1. Edward Marshall made the Indian Walk in 1737 for William Penn.
    2. William J. Buck's book, THE INDIAN WALK, was published in 1886 and relates to the history of Pennsylvania and the part Edward Marshall had in the famous walk.
    3. Edward Marshall had at least three brothers, William, Moses and John and a sister Rebecca.
    4. Two of Edwards sons, Brothers William Marshall and Moses Marshall helped to man the boats at George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River on Christmas Night of 1776. Washington had 4000 men and a fleet of thirty foot Durham boats at McKonkeys ferry. They loaded up the boats and proceded to cross the Delaware. By 3 AM, on the day after Christmas they were all across.
