    March 27, 1860 - November 17, 1918
    R D Baker, a prominent farmer of two miles west of Pawnee, died yesterday at 12:45 P M, as the results of paralysis. He had had the third stoke and for two years previous had been in ill health. He is survived by a wife, four sons and a daughter. Mr. Baker was born in Royal Center, Ind., March 27, 1860, making him past 58 years of age. For 35 years he had been a resident of Bourbon County, and he was highly esteemed by his neighbors. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Hiattville Bpatist Church. Rev. Willis of Walnut will conduct the services. Interment will be in the Hiattville Cemetery.
