The 4th of July has passed and fishing's still holding up in and around
Crisfield. The hot croaker fishing below Tangier Light has fizzled out and these
fish seem to have scattered. It was nice while it lasted. Spot have
shown up on different occasions around the Great Rock and FlatCap areas of
Tangier Sound but haven't been consistent enough to call it a Spot run. Large
Croakers can still be had with the best bite coming in the evening from Buoy 9
to the lower line Markers.
Chumming for stripers at the middle grounds is
holding up with decent sized fish continuing to invade the chum slick.
Reports have some blues also showing at the SW Middle Grounds.
