Bob Alcock Retirement

On April 1, 2008 Mail Handler Bob Alcock, age 76, retired from the United States Postal Sevice after 42 years of government service (40 yrs. USPS / 2 yrs. US Army).

Bob, who served Local 301 as a Shop Steward for 38 years, was given a "surprise send off" by his co-workers. The party was attended by members of Bob's family, several NPMHU officials, postal managers, MA State Rep. Mark Falzone, City of Lynn Mayor Edward "Chip" Clancey and honoring Bob's service to his country during the Korean War, members of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
