classes under the direction of professor

The research began with in-class and
internet
chat discussions and postings among members of the
Sociology of Communications class. Each student then prepared a
powerpoint presentation
providing an analysis of a key campus issue. These are
available here:

The next step was a telephone survey of former students who had
stopped attending Rutgers-Camden before graduation. Students from
the Methods and Techniques of Social Research class helped the
Sociology of Communications students with the interviewing.
The interview
schedule was short and simple, but it nevertheless proved difficult
to reach the former students. The interviewers wrote a brief
summary of each completed interview and these interview
summaries are well worth reading. A Summary
Report by Ted Goertzel is available as well as reports by students
in the
Methods
of Research course: Amy
Wood, Daria
B. Janka. Yara
Khalil and Tiffany
Nelson.
The grand finale was two focus groups organized and led by Sociology of
Communications student. Reports on these focus groups, and gist
