The Big Show was heard over NBC from 11/05/50 to 04/20/52. It was the last major attempt to turn the television tide back to radio. The broadcast budget per show was set at $100,000. The biggest stars of the day were heard every week. Some of the stars to visit the show were, Bob Hope, Fred Allen, Ethel Merman, Jimmy Durante, Danny Thomas, Groucho Marx, Fanny Brice, Eddie Cantor, Rudy Vallee, Ed Wynn, Judy Garland and Danny Kaye to name but a few.
