Comprehensive directions and advice about making 19th century style cut - and - pierced lampshades. Marti has been teaching the craft since about 1980. Originally published in 1987, the book has been revised and upgraded with each printing to be even easier to use. Now it is available on a Windows CD data disk!

The book contains step by step directions for every phase of making a cut and pierced lampshade, and even a chapter on the creative aspects, and is illustrated with color photos and practical diagrams. In addition, many actual lampshade design patterns are illustrated, and you have our permission to copy them.

Our disk illustration is a photo of one of Marti's actual shades. This book deals specifically with cut and pierced paper shades, though you might learn some things about constructing other types of shades.
