CLOCK STYLE Gallery Clock CLOCK NAME N/A MANUFACTURE Unknown Manufacture (possibly French) CASE MODEL # N/A MOVEMENT TYPE Brass, 8-day, spring driven, T&S, hour strike on cathedral gong. Movement plates are thicker than most American clocks, believe it is of French or English manufacture. CASE SIZE & CONSTRUCTION Base = 21 ¼", Height = 21", Depth = 6 ½" LABEL INFORMATION No label or markings on case DIAL INFORMATION White enameled tin dial with black Arabic numerals. 11 ½" chapter ring. MISC. FEATURES Square walnut case, door lifts to expose dial and movement. Dial mounts directly to movement by means of brass legs that extend from each corner of the top movement plate. This arrangement appears to be original to clock. Parts of case may have been replaced. Not sure if case and movement are a marriage or original. ACQUIRED FROM Auction at the 1994 NAWCC Lone Star Regional at the Arlington Convention Center, Arlington, TX. CONDITION WHEN ACQUIRED Clock in running order, case is in very poor condition. Dial glass appears to be original. RESTORATION Cleaned and adjusted movement, replaced suspension spring. Stripped case down to bare wood and refinished.
