"Clocks Are Us"

Welcome to Our Clock & Timepiece Collection!

We collect and restore clocks and timepieces only as a hobby (an all consuming one at times). We are providing this information on the web in an effort to promote interest in preserving these important pieces of American history, as well as to provide reference material to folks who may be interested. The historical data included within is as accurate as I can provide at this time. If there is additional information, or corrections you can provide, please email your ideas to me. I am constantly updating the data sheets, as more information is acquired. Please note, that our interests are in preserving and restoring horological items, we do not sell pieces from our collection or provide online appraisals.  Any emails requesting values will be discarded.  Sorry, but I am not an appraiser nor do I have time to provide this service.  If your questions are of a historical nature, I will be happy to respond, but due to the volume of emails we get, it may take awhile.  An alternative for horological questions is the NAWCC Message Board, discussion of values is prohibited on this board.

Below you will find the links to our clock & timepiece collection. There are currently over 190 clocks and timepieces in our collection, so grab a drink and plan on staying awhile! Regardless of whether you choose the pictorial indexes, or the text index, you will end up at the description sheets for the clock or timepiece you wish to view. Included is information about the clock or timepiece, it's maker, history, and images of each item.

Also, check out the sections on reverse glass paintings and dials KL has created, and the miscellaneous horological items we have collected.

About Us

We have been collecting and restoring clocks & timepieces for about 18 years. Our main interest is in early American clocks, however we also have collected a few watches and pocket watches. We are members of the NAWCC (National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors), and also Texas NAWCC Chapter 124. If you are interested in horology, clocks, or watches, I would suggest you consider joining this fine organization (link provided in Clock Reference Stuff & Horological Links). Chapter 124 has an extensive list of horological classes that they present, at a very reasonable price. I have attended classes on clock repair, wooden movement repair, veneer restoration, metal clock case restoration, and dial painting. These classes are a great bargain to the aspiring restoration nut in all of us.

Although all of these clocks and timepieces are not antiques, they are still equally as important to us, as some of them have been passed down from family members. My hopes are that some day, this collection and the information contained within will be passed down in my family, and the data provided will at least give some background as to what the items are, and how they were acquired .

If you have any questions or comments, be sure to drop us an Email by clicking one of the Email buttons below (note: due to the amount of spam mail we have been receiving, you will have to remove the "_at_" in our email addresses and replace with "@").  Please note, that it may take me awhile to respond due to the volume of emails we get each week.
