Farmer's Pasta
Ingredients
1 lb. of bacon or ham (already cooked)
1 lb. pasta (I use whole-grain)
1 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1-1 1/2 cups of green peas (can use frozen!)
3 cloves of garlic (optional)
2 cups Mozzarella cheese
Directions:
Cook pasta, by directions on box, until al dente (until it still has a little bit of bite left to it)
Heat skillet on Med High and place olive oil in it.
Cut bacon/ham into small cubes (if using bacon, cook first and drain off grease, then crush into little crumbs) and warm in skillet.
Soak peas (if frozen) in warm water so they thaw and won't add much liquid to dish, you don't want a lot of liquid.
Add garlic and green peas after about 3-4 minutes cooking, stir together.
When Pasta is finished, strain and place in skillet with rest of ingredients.
With tongs, thuroughly mix all ingredients together.
Plate meal and add Mozzarella cheese on top
