This year we went to James Madison's Montpelier. It was a cold and drizzly day but we enjoyed ourselves. Currently the mansion is going through massive reconstruction so the inside of the houe was not much to see. Thankfully the mansion is surrounded by beautiful land and a very lovely garden that belonged to J.M.'s wife, Dolly Madison.
