Books in printIn 2002, Tom became an Editor of Waterway Guide, the standard reference for cruising eastern North America, published in Annapolis. This series of four books, divided into Northern, Mid-Atlantic, Southern and Great Lakes editions, is a fine place to start planning your coastal trips, as well as a handy cockpit guide while you are under way. Books out of printThe Cruising Sailor is now out of print. A new, larger edition with over a hundred boat tests in addition to the mix of short stories and cruising advice is in the works. It will come from a different, better, publisher. Frommer's America On Wheels was dropped when the publisher was bought by another company; Tom was Mid-Atlantic Regional Editor and Pam was Editorial Assistant. The Chesapeake Bay Book by Allison Blake is now in its fifth edition. Tom wrote the Eastern Shore section of the second and third editions with the assistance of his late wife, Pam. TelevisionBoatworks was an award-winning 13-week PBS series by Stephen Reverand. Tom was the consultant for many of the stories and ran the camera boat. |
