A ccd look at the "Crab"nebula. This LRGB image is a composite of four "Track and Accumulate" images which are in themselves composites of 25--20 second exposures. The images were taken with an SBIG st 5C ccd camera and 11 inch scope with an f3.7 focal reducer and tri color and clear filter. The RGB images were combined in CCdops and the Luminance and Tri-color image combined in "Gimp for Windows". Note the filamentary structure clearly visible in this star gone supernova nearly 1000 years ago !
