M16...An open cluster in Serpens sports the "Eagle Nebula". It is pretty faint but can be seen in an 8" scope from the city. This picture was taken with the 11" scope and the "Taurus"astrophoto system using Kodak Royal Gold 1000 for twenty minutes at F 6.3. The highlight of this nebula is the "eagle"shaped dark nebula in the center!
