NGC-6992 "Veil"nebula

     This is the eastern portion of the Veil nebula though not in its entirety. I could not fit the entire portion in the eyepiece so I chose the brighter portion of it . The veil nebulae are the remnants of an ancient supernova . This section is much more difficult to view than the westernmost part of the nebula . I was able to snag it on a good dark night with the 8" scope ! I could see it easily with a nebula filter. This photo was taken with the 8" scope on Konica 3200 at F6.3 for 50 min.
