This is the "Veil Nebula" or at least a part of it known as NGC6960. It is a very diffuse remnant of a super nova. It can be seen with a small scope especially when using a Nebula filter. Visually it looks very similar to the picture lacking the red color .It has a greenish- gray kind of color by eye. This is a 26 min. exposure on kodak gold 1000 w/11" scope at f6.3 { there is much more to this nebula that I will try to photograph and display at a later date}!
