This retreat is not a profit generating venture. Your cost covers your room, linens, meals, snacks, coffee and the small expenses, such as mailings and general supplies. Staff members are volunteers, totally committed to providing you with the best possible retreat. If we fall short of your expectations, please let us know. St. Leo Abbey Retreat Center, the original monastery building, is of four-story construction with stairs and one elevator. The first level contains the kitchen and dining room. Level two is the level you at which you will enter the building. On the third level, you will find semi-private rooms, showers, the Chapel, the Lake Room, meeting rooms, the coffee room and the balcony. The fourth level has more rooms and showers. Toilets are at the stairwell landings. Our retreat is "participated," which means you will be an active part of it. We will assign certain responsibilities such as chairing meetings, helping with chairs, coffee, etc. to retreatants. The staff guides and helps the retreat, but you are the "life" of it. The good news is that you need no special knowledge or talents to attend and benefit from a retreat. Just show up and God does the rest!
