Last Father's Day, June 2004, my two daughters purchased a new gourd system from Chuck Abare.  I set up the system in the Fall 2004 in the back yard.  In the previous year I had the gourd rack in the front yard.  I chose to put the new gourd system in the backyard so I could observe the new family from my screened porch. 

 

The system includes space for 16 gourds.  The pole is 40 scheduled pipe at an inch and half in diameter.  The gourds are on a pulley system, which allows me to raise and lower the gourds for cleaning and investigating purposes.  I really like the new system and this year I have 15 pairs.
