Other Destinations - for a rainy day or when the
kids need a day off the beach, we recommend:
 |
Wilmington, NC: The
kids will enjoy a tour of the USS North Carolina or a
visit to the Railroad Museum downtown next door to the
Cotton Exchange. Others will enjoy the many shops
at the renovated Cotton Exchange. Wilmington is a
lovely old city with many historic homes and buildings
open to visit. We recommend the "Haunted
Wilmington" tours which take in many locales
reputed to have ghostly visitors. |
 |
Swann's Point: An
old fishing village with a walkable area of interesting shops and
some good places to eat. |
