All Saint's Day
One of the most
important disciplines of our faith is "remembrance."
When we remember two things happen. We are less likely
to make the same mistake again and we learn something about
our future. All Saints Day is a day of remembrance.
We remember those who first loved us into the faith...and
remember those who kept us in the faith...and remember those
who died in the faith giving witness to the power of God to
heal, reconcile and renew the human spirit even in desperate
times. Some of those saints lived and died years
before we arrived on the scene. What we know about
them we know through stories handed down from generation to
generation. Others are people whom we knew personally:
a family member, a loved one, a Sunday School teacher, a guy
who sat in the same pew at church for as long as you
could remember. These people have had a hand in
shaping and molding our Spirit. It is good to remember
them and be thankful.
Our Mission:
To encounter, proclaim, and serve Jesus
Christ from the heart of Bowling Green, Ohio.
