Lenten Dinner and Devotions Series--6-7:15 p.m. Wednesdays during Lent
Again this year, Trinity's Lenten Dinners and Devotions will take place in Tait Hall (main buidling, ground floor). Starting with Ash Wednesday, March 5 through April 9, bring a covered dish to share from 6-6:45 p.m. followed by a brief time of worship from 6:55-7:15 p.m. The final event will be on Maundy Thursday, April 17. The Sarament of Communion will be on Maundy Thursday.
Men's Breakfast--8:30 a.m., Sunday, April 13, May 11
All men and boys are invited to share food and fellowship in Tait Hall (first floor, main building) on the second Sunday of the month. A brief devotional will conclude the morning's activities.
Prayer Shawl Ministry--6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27, April 24, May 29
This group prays for the intended recipients throughout the process of creating shawls and sending them on their way. Call the church office at 724-662-2680 if interested in being a part of this outreach. The next meeting is in the Sharing Place (ground floor, east wing). Bring a knitting needle size 11 or 13 and 3 skeins of a slightly bulky yarn. Or bring a size M, N, or P crochet hook and 3 skeins of slightly bulky yarn.
Choir Concert--2:30 and 3:30 p.m., Sunday, March 30
The sanctuary choir will present concerts at Mercer's two nursinhg homes, and you are invited to support the choir by your attendance and greet the residents at Countryside, Lamor Road, (2:30 p.m.) and Avalon Springs, Route 58 north, (3:30 p.m.) Come and see this outreach program.
Beyond the Stained Glass Conference, Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5
The congregation is invited toPittsburgh Theological Seminary for a two-day workshop featuring three keynote speakers and 18 workshop presenters. Children Sing at Countryside--after church, Sunday, April 6
The children of Trinity Church are invited to sing their Sunday School songs for residents at Countryside, Lamor Road. Families are invited to stay after worship today to enjoy a lunch together, make cards for the residents, and play some games. We will leave the church about 2:15 p.m. and are scheduled to sng at 2:30 p.m. Please RSVP to Sunday School Superintendent Joanna Julock by March 23, so arrangements for food may be made.
Old-Fashioned Hymn Sing--7:30 p.m. Monday, April 14
The congregation is invited to the 4th Annual Hymn Sing sponsored by the Mercer Music Club. Special Music by Greg Vanderveen and Marla Moretti! Piano and Organ accompaniment by Jim Sankey.
Congregational Meeting--noon, Sunday, April 27
The congregation will meet to receive the report of the Nominating Committee, who will present a slate of officers to be voted on.
Trinity Night at PNC Park--4:45 p.m. departure, Tuesday, August 12
Talk about planning ahead! Next season's Trinity Night at PNC Park will be the 7:05 p.m. game on Tuesday, August 12, when the Pirates take on the Detroit Tigers. Buses will leave from the church at 4:45 p.m.More details coming...later.
