Tiger Cubs BSA. A school
year program
for first grade (or 7 year old) boys and their adult partners. Each
boy-adult
Tiger team meets regularly for family activities, and twice a month all
the teams meet for Tiger Cub den activities.
Cub Scouting. A program for boys in the second through fifth grades (or who are 8, 9, and 10 years old). Fourth and fifth grade boys are called Webelos Scouts (WE’ll BE LOyal Scouts) and participate in more advanced activities that begin to prepare them to become Boy Scouts. The emphasis in Cub Scouting is on sports, games, fitness, crafts, and basic camping. Cubs are divided into dens that meet weekly, with all the dens in the Pack gathering once a month. |

Boy Scouting. A program for boys 11 through 17 designed to achieve the aims of Scouting through a challenging outdoor program and boy leadership with the guidance of an adult Scoutmaster. Boy Scouts take part in a wide range of activities that include camping, hiking and other outdoor adventures, community service, and leadership training. Boy Scouts are divided into patrols that are part of a troop. Most troops hold weekly meetings. A boy may also become a Boy Scout if he has completed the fifth grade, or earned the Webelos Arrow of Light Award. |

Venturing. A program for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age that provides exciting and meaningful activities that help youth pursue their special interests, to grow, to develop leadership skills, and to become good citizens. Venturing crews can choose from a wide range of activities, depending on their interests. These activities are arranged in clusters that include: Outdoor, Sports, Arts/Hobbies, Youth Ministry, and Sea Scouting. |

Exploring. A part of the BSA Learning for Life program, Exploring is designed for young men and women ages 14 (and who have completed the eighth grade) through 20 to help them learn about a variety of potential careers through specialized programs that offer leadership training, life skills, service learning, character education, and hands-on experiences. Explorer Posts usually have a single career emphasis, such as law enforcement, fire fighting, medicine and health, aviation, business, and many others. |
