Gen 2 Black Prince

This webpages serves to illustrate the balance and point control of the Generation 2 Black Prince. The pictures and video below show me practicing my rapier drills with this sword. The drill involves hitting three tennis balls suspended on a string with the point of the sword. While this is a longsword designed to be held with two hands for the purpose of striking and thrusting with force, this particular sword has the ability to be handled like a rapier because of its balance. Understand that I am not saying that longsword can do the job of a rapier as well as a rapier. I am trying to illustrate the qualities of this particular sword.

The Generation 2 Lucerne is of the same weight and balance with a slightly longer handle and shorter blade. The Lucerne handles in a similar manor in the tennis ball drills and has proven its durability on my tire-pell. You can see a full review of the Lucerne here: http://mysite.verizon.net/tsafa1/swordreview.htm#luc
