kª† Squad Requirements
Recruitment is by invitation only!
Should you receive an invitation, here you will find the squad requirements, and what is expected of you once you're a member.
If you find these requirements unacceptable, then perhaps kat squad is not for you.
1. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Kat is looking for players with maturity, who are able to conduct themselves honorably and respectably, whether they are winning or losing! Kat is intended to be a FUN squad that people can ENJOY being a part of. Therefore, bad attitudes are not welcome.
2. Must have complete knowledge of KAT ctf maps.
In order to be successful, the squad must function as a unit, and that means being on the same page strategically.
The only way to accomplish this, is for all squad members to have complete knowledge of the maps, so that the appropriate actions can be taken when needed (assault, run flags, unlock gates, destroy dish, etc.) WITHOUT BEING TOLD what to do!
3. Must have adequate skill.
Kat is looking for players who will be an asset to the team, not a liability.
Therefore, although attitude and knowledge is important, some basic skill is required, like the ability to score flags and hopefully also get more kills than deaths while doing so!
4. Must be willing to be a "team" player.
CTF is a TEAM GAME...unselfishness and cooperation are CRITICAL, so you must be willing to do whatever it takes to help the TEAM win, even if it means making individual sacrifices.
Some examples:
If you are sniping or assaulting, but you are the closest to a critical flag, you must be willing to give up your position to help the team if called upon to do so.
If you drop a flag, it is acceptable for another teammate to pick it up and score it (so it doesn't get saved), so don't complain about "flag-stealing!"
You may even need to sacrifice a life to help the team, in order to drop a flag to teammate in "Relay" map, or disarm a trap in "Booby Place" map.
Therefore, selfishness and uncooperativeness will not be tolerated.
Once you accept your invitation to join kat, you will begin a 2 week trial period.
During this trial period, you are encouraged to play as much as possible, and be observed by other kat members.
Once the trial period is complete, all kat members will vote on your formal acceptance into the squad.
