The FANS 24 Hour Weather Page
In case of thunder and lightning, or very strong winds:
- Race director or designee may suspend or cancel race for weather/safety
related concerns.
- If race is suspended all participants, volunteers, families and friends
will be encouraged to go to the community center (open 24 hours).
- A skeleton volunteer crew may remain as long as necessary to direct
participants to the community center.
- Participants may chose to finish only the lap that they are on when the
race is suspended, but do so at their own risk.
- Any such lap is to be reported to race officials in the community center
and will be based on the honor expected of all athletes.
- All announcements pertaining to the resumption or cancellation of the race
will be made at the community center.
- The race will be restarted based on information given at the community
center.
- No consideration based on the varying portions of laps completed after the race is suspended will be made.
- If the race is able to be restarted, it will begin at the start/finish line.
- Regardless of the length of the suspension, the race will conclude at 8 AM on Sunday.
