Opportunities For Your Involvement

Participation is the fun part of belonging to the congregation!  In addition to the important experience of worship at 11 o'clock on Sunday mornings when we listen for the best in the music, silence, and words shared from our free pulpit, various small groups and social gatherings offer a participatory means for mutual encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregation.  Come, get to know one another.

The Discussion Group

The Discussion Group meets each Sunday morning at 9:30 in the Webb Room to discuss topics of current interest. Usually a member of the group prepares a topic, presents it to the group, and then leads a freewheeling discussion. Occasionally a guest is invited to present a  topic of special interest. The topics are announced in advance either in the UUC monthly newsletter or in the Sunday bulletin. All members, friends, and guests of the Fellowship are welcome to attend and participate. These discussions are usually interesting, often educational, and sometimes profound.

Dinners for Nine

Informal pot luck dinners are held at members' homes on a regular basis.  This is a wonderful way to get to know congregation members.

Sustainable Sundays

Sunday evenings at 5:30 various alternative worship programs and enrichment programs are held.    Check the calendar and newsletter pages for details.

Earthways

EarthWays is an inter-generational group whose purpose is to reclaim and celebrate our spiritual connections to the Earth and its rhythms, to explore, recreate and reinterpret our pre-Christian religious heritage, and to challenge and expand our perceptions of truth and reality through ancient shamanistic practices. All are welcome; call the UUC office for more information.

Lunch With the Ministers

Every Tuesday at noon members and friends bring their lunch and share in wide ranging conversation. (This is on hold while Mel and Rose are on sabbatical through the middle of December.)

Choir

Under our director, Jamie Edwards, the choir provides a variety of musical accents to our spiritual journey.  New members and guest performers are always welcome.  Rehearsals are on Thursdays at 7:00 pm from September through May.
